Today, while delaying going out and cleaning up from the snowstorm, I ventured into “the box I never go through” … photos, memorabilia, postcards, other things … it is just too emotional … However, I needed some things in there for a special project so, I had to open it up …

Before I had a radio show called Taste the Floor, I had a fanzine called Taste the Floor. This collage is from a fundraiser held in November 1992, at the Middle East Cafe in Cambridge, MA. Mikey Dee man emceed the event. Sean O’Brien from Curious Ritual jumped on stage to do “Foggy Notion” with us … or was it “Girlfriend”? I can’t remember … Ben Tisdale, who is now busy solving crimes as a Boston Police detective, played bass. One of my all-time fave bands Opium Den (Annette is pictured singing) also performed that night along with Atlas Shrugged, the amazing Providence trio Euthanasia, and another band I can’t remember. Carolyn Corella took most of these photos, I think. Good times indeed…

Why yes, son, you can drink expensive merlot from a paper bag like a homeless person and if you rub it against your guitar, it makes the most beautiful godawful noise … and yes, your dad does miss fog machines … The left picture is from 1990 at the Worcester Artist Group; the right picture is from August 1989.
