Yes, regulation sometimes hurts; so does dereg, like your end to Glass-Steagall. That said, the recovery is so lousy primarily because there are no decent wage, low skill private sector jobs for the country’s workers. American workers have maxed out their productivity. It’s a total mess and no one will be able to fix it because the solutions are pieces of what both sides of the aisle advocate.
