I finally got a chance to watch “Spectre” last night. I didn’t see it in the theatre because it was roundly – and soundly – panned. I disagree. Yes, it was long – 2:28 minutes. Yes, it meandered a bit. But I followed the plot easily and figured out the clincher about halfway through – when the bomb went off in Cape Town after South Africa voted against the global security proposal. It isn’t the best Bond film ever but it ranks up there and I would say the best one that Daniel Craig has appeared in.
